4. Cookies, Local Storage and Web Analytics

This website does not set its own cookies or use local browser storage.

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a service provided by Vercel Inc., to produce statistical analyses of website usage. The service records page views without using cookies. According to Vercel, the collected data is anonymous and evaluated only in aggregated form.

To distinguish between visitors, Vercel generates a hash from the incoming request. This hash is automatically discarded after 24 hours. The data is not used to personally identify individual visitors or track their activity across different websites.

The processing is carried out to statistically analyze and improve our website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in designing and technically optimizing our website according to users' needs.

5. Use of the Messenger Service

Replacement receipts are created via a messenger service (e.g. Telegram).

When users use the messenger service, data processing is carried out by the respective messenger service provider in accordance with its privacy policy.

In particular, the following data may be processed:

  • Username
  • Profile information
  • Messages transmitted
  • Images uploaded
  • Hospitality details submitted

BEA processes the transmitted data exclusively for the purpose of creating the requested replacement receipt.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Further information on data processing by the messenger provider is available in its privacy policy.

6. Creation of Replacement Receipts

The information submitted via the messenger (e.g. purpose, persons, amounts) is processed in order to create a replacement receipt as a PDF.

No further use of the data for advertising purposes takes place.

Data is stored only to the extent technically necessary.

For automated text recognition (OCR), an external AI service provider (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) may be used. Submitted image or text data is processed solely for the purpose of structured data extraction. Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Appropriate contractual safeguards pursuant to Article 28 GDPR are in place with the service provider.

7. Disclosure of Data

Personal data is not disclosed to third parties unless:

  • this is required by law, or
  • technically necessary for the provision of the service (e.g. hosting provider).

8. Retention Period

Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the respective processing purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.

Data subjects have the right:
